Question about a water source?

Hi all plants acts like a straw sucking up ground moisture.To collect this water being expelled before reaching into the air can be done with heat and time.A simple way to do this with any plant is to dig a hole in the ground place a container in the center of the hole, place green living plant matter around the container.Cover hole with plastic and weight the centre creating a point leading to the container.On a very hot day moisture can be collected and clean water produced.This can only be done once like wise cutting down the tree/plant. Simply put the time for a tree to grow then satisfy thirst isn't worth the wait.
