Can I go to the police?

I received a vile message through Facebook from someone who I do not know, it was abusive and insulting. She blocked me which prevents me from blocking her or from reporting her. She can unblock me and send these messages and block me again without me being able to stop her. I am powerless to act throigh Facebook. My husband sent her a message to ask her to stop as I do not know her and she sent him another message insulting me. He reported her but Facebook said as she has done nothing against him I have to report her, but there is not anyway for me to do this. Can I go to the police and make a complaint against her?
